1. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. It lets the site recognize your browser on your next visit, keep you signed in, and remember preferences such as theme. We also use closely related browser-storage technologies (such as localStorage and session storage) for the same purposes; in this policy, the word "cookies" covers all of them.

2. Our approach

Mix-IP serves creators and rights-holders, including users in the EU and UK. We take a deliberately minimal approach to cookies:

Because every cookie we set is strictly necessary, we do not display a cookie consent banner. Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement under the EU ePrivacy Directive and the UK PECR.

3. The cookies we use

3.1 Authentication & session

Set when you sign in. Required to keep you signed in across pages and to verify it is really you making each request.

3.2 CSRF protection

A cryptographic token used to prevent cross-site request forgery on form submissions and state-changing actions.

3.3 Display preferences

Stores your chosen theme (dark or light) and accent color so the Platform looks the way you set it next time you visit. Stored locally in your browser via localStorage.

3.4 Load balancing

Our hosting infrastructure (AWS App Runner / CloudFront) may set short-lived cookies to route your requests to a healthy server during a single session. These do not identify you and cannot be read by Mix-IP for any other purpose.

4. What we don't use

We don't use cookies or comparable technologies for:

If we ever decide to add analytics or any non-essential cookie, we will update this policy and obtain consent before any non-essential cookie is set.

5. Third-party services

The Platform integrates with carefully chosen third parties to deliver the service (for example, payment processors, cloud storage, identity providers). When you actively use one of these features, the third party may set its own cookies on its own domain. We list any such interaction in our Privacy Policy. We do not embed third-party trackers on our marketing pages.

6. How to control cookies

Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, blocking them will prevent the Platform from working — for example, you won't be able to sign in. You can still control cookies and similar storage through your browser:

You can clear, block, or set per-site preferences for cookies, including for mixip.io.

7. Cookies in our desktop apps

Our desktop apps (such as Pro Transfer App) use the same authentication tokens as the website but store them in your operating system's secure storage rather than in cookies. They do not contain advertising SDKs or third-party trackers.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change how we use cookies, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes — for example, adding any non-essential cookie — will be announced in-product and, where required, gated behind a consent prompt.
